Hmmmmmmmm, Canes have won all of their previous serious in 6 games (which I correctly predicted . . . Check the records !!!!). What does my crytstal ball say now ? ? ? Canes & Wings split the first 4 games, with the Canes pulling out an OT win in Game 5. Canes clinch their first Stanley Cup title at the ESA next Sat. night (6/15). Artus Irbe gets the Conn Smythe for playoff MVP. That'll work for me !!!!!!

it's a hard vote since I've always rooted for Detroit as long as they weren't playing against the Thrashers.

But, since I've grown to love NC and Charlotte, I'll give my vote to the Canes. Gotta follow my heart, don'tcha think?

Agreed the Canes in SEVEN. Hasek comes up small, the Canes are faster than the Wings expected, hit harder, and have more grit. Irbe is a wall.

The Wings get flustered after losing the first game, take some cheap shots to win game two...come to Raleigh, lose one, win one, win at home...and the Canes come back from a 3-2 series deficit to send the Motor City boys back home...
