His history as a QB coach is far more illustrious than McDermott's as a DC. I mean...are we being serious here?

He tutored H-beck into becoming one of the better quarterbacks in the league in yards and efficiency. He made Charlie Batch look like an elite rookie. He works with one of the better up and comers in the game now, with Flacco.

I mean---I don't think we're gonna hire him, and I'm not lobbying for him. But to compare his body of HC'ing against McDermott's coordinator work, when the context I'm discussing him in is the QBC, is kinda retarded. As a matter of fact, it's so beyond stupid, that someone should be fucking run over for it. It's a hittable offense. Stupidity here, can be sometimes so in your face, that it floors me.

Anyway, as far as being a QB coach goes, his record is far more impressive than McDermott's having the world's worst, maybe in league history, NFL redzone defense known to man.

MEEKS AND MCDERMOTT WILL GO DOWN AS PANTHER DC HALL OF FAMERS AND LEGENDS OF THE CAROLINAS!!!

Ok. So now I'm just playing and being an asshole. But yeah....not thrilled, but some here are right. It's no worry, because our HC can just tinker and oversee operations that he shouldn't have to worry so much about. It's all good! We hired two DCs!! Ummm...

    yay?

I for one didn't expect a big name, hot DC candidate to accept a gig where the HC announced up front he's gonna pull the strings.

So even though Mac sucked with the training wheels off, they have been re-attached. I don't have a ton of worry about it right now.

well, sure. I mean guy has some respect from playing, and was at it for years. His time since Holmgren doesn't seem to show he learned very little. Got let go as a position coach this year.
    Was it all Holmgren before?

I'm just saying a DC with experience running OUR D, that ran it well other than one major stat, is a better option than the Steelers' ballboy running a 3 4. Guy has talent. Fox wanted him, Shurmur, too. John Harbaugh would like to have him right now. None are as good a fit as we are.
Just saying there are a lot of positives.
