Sports has got to be boring if not a NC fan.

NC pro sports that is... I mean lets face it, since Jordan and before him, Bird ruled the NBA eastern conference the NBA playoffs is a freakin bore... The Nets suck and the real NBA championship came when the Lakers played the Kings.

If NC was not new to Hockey, this Stanley cup would be a bore... its obvious Detroit is just bitch slapping the canes now... but screw them, I am still pulling for the Canes... its my state.

Boxing - did anybody think Tyson would win? At least in the same 30 day period Holyfield proves to the world why Mike might have bitten his freakin ear off - Holy - has always been a head buttin fool. Does not validate Mike's fedish with ears, but one should understand a need to retaliate.

Football - well for the first time since '96 we have a capable coach and a capable defense.... anything can happen.

Edit: My guess is that when Jordan was a Bull, there where more Bulls fans than Hornets...

College sports is the Carolinas only hope... the Tarheels now bitch slap the Noles and even though I hate Duke they or the Heels have dominated college basketball (Compared to other states) the last 15 years... College baseball with Carolina schools is not too bad along with College Golf...

Before the Hornets, it's all we had. I've always liked it that way, but I grew up in Raleigh and sports never got boring. Now we get the best and worst of both worlds.

Well, growing up in NC, I got no beef with Raleigh or Charlotte... its all NC to me... Kudos to the RTP folks and those that traveled for their support of the Canes... they should be proud!

I'm guessing you mean in NC, and in Charlotte, and that is true. I went to a Hornet-Bulls playoff game a couple years ago and there were tons of Bulls jerseys there, you could actually hear cheers when the Bulls scored (I was thinking this is the playoffs what the fuck is going on?) I know this is hard to believe, but they actually called Jordan for travelling in that game. We lost, and me and my brother almost got into a fight with some Bulls fans since I was equally pissed at the fact that we lost and the fact there were so many Bulls "fans" (= Jordan fans) there. That, and I was very drunk may have had something to do with it..
