Our offense and especially defense seem to be as deep as they have ever been this year. Will this be at the expense of the special teams or will it inject a higher level of talent into the special teams?

Our core group of ST players help keep some consistency with the revolving door nature of the unit. How many if any should be totally dedicated to ST play in order to bring this unit back to being one of the best.

...after the Panthers held their first camp this year, Steve Smith was on the radio. They asked him which side of the ball did he think would be the most improved, offense or defense....his reply was "special teams"

some of that might be the fact that he plans on playing PR

Hard to say. Granted, some names are gone, but there are a number of other guys - like depth at safety for once - that'll help out. Rasmussen should be back, Hankton or Ross most likely, and Smart or Robertson; young, hungry guys like Seward and Emanuel will contribute.
