Holy piss poor. Capitals in 1st place? 2nd place in the division is going to be like 12th in the conference.

Yeah, a little defense would go a long way.

As far as the division as a whole, I wouldn't be all that surprised to see the standings flip by the end of the regular season.

It's weird seeing teams go from 3rd to 10th in the Conference standings overnight. What do you think the Canes will try to trade for- D?

Quick- if you've got Corvo on your fantasy team- unload him. Solarte, what are you going to do with your Comodore robe? I <3 trades.

    The fans have spoken:

    Who won the Senators/Hurricanes trade?

    Ottawa Senators
    77%

    Carolina Hurricanes
    23%

Stillman and commodore UFA at end of season. Eaves is an RFA while Corvo has two years left.

    Scouting Report:
CORVO: Has intriguing scoring potential from the back end and also owns enough size to play an effective defensive game.
Flaws May need to play a less risky game in order to see regular ice time in the NHL. Must tighten up his defensive-zone coverage.
Career potential No. 6 or 7 defenseman.

    EAVES:
Assets Is an excellent skater and fore-checker. Anticipates plays well at both ends of the ice, and displays all-around ability. Owns intriguing scoring upside.
Flaws Still needs more bulk in order to thrive at the NHL level. Could use more fine-tuning in all aspects of the game.
    Career potential Top six winger.

Sens win short term--Stiller might be the piece that gets the Sens over the hump. Commodore is gritty--the Sens need grit.

Corvo & Eaves are long term guys...Corvo may help early on PP, but the assesments above (from your post, Playa), are pretty much spot on.
