    first off, bite me.

    2nd.......

    WHAT A FRIGGIN GAME!!!

From the opening kick, the Panthers were going to win. Period. it didn't beomce apparent why until afterwards. This was a MAD football team. They had listened to all of the chatter from the Bears during the week...they had heard all of the talk about how the Panthers would be lucky to score 3 points on the vaunted Bear defense, and Ogunleye's remarks, etc....(no, I did NOT talk to that jackhole afterwards, because I was talking to Panther players on the field and not messing with the losers). The guys coming off the field (Jake and Wahle in particular), were ESPECIALLY vocal about the fact they were disrespected by the Bears in the media. Going so far as to drop expletives as they left the field after the game. This team got EXTRA motivated by the chatter, and it showed. Lucas with the pick late, the passes deflected by Morgan...this team was simply on a mission.

Going to Seattle will be tough without Foster, and a banged up Peppers, but there is still SOMETHING ABOUT THIS TEAM that makes me beleive I am heading to Detroit in a few weeks. Somehow, some way, they KNOW they are supposed to play for the whole enchilada, and I am glad to have been here to see it.

I am a native of Chicago, but the way the fans reacted to Panther injuries helped me cut the cord. That is low rent, low class, and I can't call myself a Bear fan EVER AGAIN after being a witness to that. You cheer when your defense records a sack, a pick, recovers a fumble....but cheering injuries is crossing the line.

A drive back to CLT on Monday, a couple of days to recharge the batteries and then off to Seattle...the 3rd NFC titlegame in franchise history, and gladlyi I will be a witness to all of them.

    From the road in Chicago,

    solarte

our sat truck guy and a reporter are driving out to Seattle from Chicago today. I drive back to CLT and then fly out on Thursday to Sea-town. Tough drive for the guys heading west, but they are gonna do it over 3-4 days and not kill themselves.

Well, at least they're halfway there already. They won't have to drive from Chi to Char then turn around and drive from Char to Sea.

So their fans had no class either. I felt watching it on TV that Chicago kept hitting a little after the whistle, consistently, trying to intimidate us. That continued up until the final kneeldown where one guy jumped over our line and tried to clothesline Delhomme. How did all that play on the field Mike? I feel that the guys who did that on the kneeldown should be fined. No class, Chicago can go fuck itself.
