It's not illegal to talk about it and this is not intended to break any laws.

I have a mac and I would really like to get Final Cut Pro II. I use iMovie to edit video and stuff, but it's really limited, espeacially the formats that you can export. It's a little difficult to convince the wife $999.99 is a good deal.

You might be able to get it through Morpheus or one of the other online file sharing utilities that use gnutella.

KaZaA.com is a peer-to-peer network of users sharing music, video, ebooks, software, etc. About a million and a half users are online at any one time. The software your looking for is probably being shared there (meaning you can copy it and put it on your computer, just as you would if you bought it at the store). If you've ever bought music and made a copy for your friend or copied a video you wanted for yourself, it's basically the same thing. It is illegal in the sense of it being copyrighted material. There will probably never be any problems with this unless your profiting (copying and selling) from what you get there.
Bottom line... if morality is an issue, it's best to fork out the dough if you really want it.

I've been using the latest Pinnacle software and hardware to make video cds that play on my DVD player (not a dvd burner) and also copy back to VHS... great software and equipment.

I'll admit, I was a little taken by the babe on the box... her package is solid.
