I just saw the hit on play on the news.

Dunno if it was intentional looked like cole lost his footing just before and was unluky to be hit at the same time.

In any case it was boarding and a hit from behind.

couples games seems fine to me.

sux that it happend from a last place team.

 

Slans, what is the governing body of amateur hockey in Canada? I remember a few years back they came out with those stop sign patches that they wanted teams to have on the backs of their sweaters (near where a players name would be), in the hopes of eliminating the hits from behind. I really liked that idea, especially at the youth levels...stop the problem before it starts.

 

Speaking of marginal, the smack talk in this thread leaves a lot to be desired. Come on yall, crank it up I need the giggles.

I PM'ed because this forum isn't rant and rave, and it's not NOTD where people sit around and take swipes at each other in every post. I don't mind some shit talking every once in a while, but you can't make a post in here anymore without name calling and it's just getting old.

It merged in 94 I think its just called hockey canada but it is broken up in regional section and bodies. I have no idea what happend with that little stop sign thing. It was used in minors for a while but it not used right now. In my area!

 

Some coaches down here in NH still use it. When you see it or you see numbers, you don't hit.

 

Watching the Buffalo broadcast of the Pens Sabres game. Buffalo broadcaster just said of Orpik, "He is a top four defenseman, and in the NHL that makes him worth his weight in gold".

What ever happened to Slans?

Orpik has gotten better (from what I have seen)...doesn't make him Paul Coffey, but he is better.
