Cole out 6-8 for a cheap shot. that guy (however you spell his name), is gonna:

    A-be suspended and/or fined
B-a marked man when the teams play again.

Too bad they won't see them again this season. Oh wait, they could meet in the playoffs....nevermind.

That sucks for the Canes. Do you think Trojan will still watch? I fell asleep and missed the hit, was it really a cheap shot? Orpik is physical, but I haven't seen any cheap hits out of him. As for retrubution from the Canes(lol), who would deliver it?

Cheap shot by a marginal player on the last place team in a worn out building in a second rate city. Orpik and the Pens should be suspended for the remainder of the season and reconvene next year in Winnipeg.

Playa, you consider yourself a fan but you missed the third period of a game against the best team in the NHL. You suck.

    You are a dumbass.

Orpik got a 2 minute minor, 5 minute boarding major and match misconduct penalties for his cheap shot.

"...before he was rammed into the dasher boards from behind by Orpik with 14:42 remaining ..."

"It was one of the worst hits I've seen in a long time," Hedican said. "The guy can't defend himself. He's three feet from the boards and he gets run from behind. I almost thought he broke his neck. It was terrible. I panicked, to be honest with you."

The Hurricanes were not only unhappy with the hit but also the situation. Carolina captain Rod Brind'Amour bristled at the notion of a player from the NHL's last-place team willfully taking out the second-leading goal-scorer from the first-place team. "That's one of the best players in the league, Erik Cole, and these guys are not really playing for anything," Brind'Amour said. "It's frustrating to see a guy go down like that...."
Brind'Amour said Orpik has a reputation for hitting late and from behind and, he said, "So put those two together, that's pretty much what happened there."

"I saw what happened...it was not a clean hit," said Carolina head coach Peter Laviolette. "You know what - people who constantly hit people from behind should be made an example of by the league...."

Laviolette added, "He clearly could have let up on the hit and he decided not to. He knew exactly what he was doing, he should have let up."

Laviolette called on the NHL to discipline Orpik, a marginal defender who has tried to develop a reputation for being a big hitter during his two-plus NHL seasons.

Orpik isn't marginal. he is young and talented. As a matter of fact heAssets Has excellent defensive skills and plays a punishing brand of hockey. Is good at keeping the game simple. Shows leadership ability at a young age.
Flaws Lacks front-end offensive ability. Needs to continue to adjust to the speed of the pro game. Must learn when to pick his spots when laying on the body.
    Career potential Top four defenseman.
That is my personal assesment of the situation.

You forgot the next paragraph genius.
"Cole was slammed into the boards near the right circle, along the side of the ice where the bench areas are located, after he appeared to lose his footing just before Orpik hit him."
Trying to get all sneaky with your cutting and pasting these days? And I am suppossed to take Cole's teammate's opinion of Orpik? Of course they are pissed off and will call him a goon.

"Marginal" came from the NHL website, dickface.

And we'll see about his top 4 potential (just what is top four potential on a team that is in 30th place?) - after he sits out a season or so.

My bad, thought you came up with a thought on your own. Aren't people always telling you the same in NOTD, can't think for yourself?

Are you saying you think he will be getting a year or two suspension?

Did it take a while for the trainer to go out to the ice because he thought Cole was just taking another dive?

And this coming from a punk who pretends he's black and who can't post in NOTD because you're a fool.

Yes, that's what I posted, can't you fucking read?

And how would you know how long it took the trainer to get onto the ice? You already admitted you missed the incident because you were asleep. You're even a bigger dumber fuck than I thought.

    I can't?

I read it, just didn't believe you were dumb enough to post it. Year or two suspension? lol, you really are new to all this

I don't know how long it took him to get to the ice. That's why I asked :"Did it take a while for the trainer to go out to the ice...?" but with your defendive response, I'll assume the coach and trainer thought he was taking yet another dive and he didn't go to the ice immediately.
