I'm wavering. Everyone knows KC plays extremely well when not hung over and when he has time. He goes to pieces when he has pressure up the middle. We blitzed, what, 3 or 4 times? Yes, they picked a couple up and completed the pass anyway.

Now in fairness he hasnt had Wheatley in a while, and looked good against other teams when he had him.

WW's interview on the radio bothered me. He said Wesley's pass int call was no big deal because he was trying to make a play. YES, IT WAS A BIG DEAL. He made an arm bar. That is ALWAYS called. Its not mistiming. Its just dumb. He also said the D played well. Complete denial. He played well himself, but the D did not. You have to wonder about the message being given from the top.

M, I thought the O play calling was good. Jake went through a bad stretch of overthrowing. If he makes a few of those, the passing game comes out great. We don't have the horses for a run game againt these guys. SD ran on them with counter plays, but you have to have a RB who can change direction quickly to do that. Still, they kept running enough to keep the D honest, and I like that.

The OL played OL for the pass game. The series where Jake was pressured (and started overthrowing) Willig was back in. When Fordham came back in, everyone settled down.

How does that punt get blocked? Was TS slow? There were about 5 guys back there. Ive read Scott (blocked on his name, the ST coach) wants to retire. Maybe he has in his mind.

Don't know. I hope that the bleak outlook now doesn't hurt the team beyond this year.

Agreed. Wesley supposedly made an agressive move, WW said, but I didn't see that. I just saw "beat, and then flagged".

    >>M, I thought the O play calling was good.

It wasn't bad. It's clear we can't run against Ted Washington, I can't blame Henning on that. But the point remains - I can typically say I had fundamental problems with 5-10 plays every game (one, for instance, was when we went no-huddle, and yet shot for three short plays and failed on each - that's when you take your shot, not when you get a first down. Even on our best drive, we wasted two or three first down opportunities rather than building a drive, and got lucky). I can't usually say that about the D.

More blitzing would help.; We didn't blitz as much this game. We played OK in man coverage but we were chancing it with Wesley out there and he should've had help. The idea there is that you can show the covered look and they won't throw at you, but we don't have guys who'll make a play on the ball if the ball's in the air. So I think they went to the well once too many on that.

I'll stick up for him. He coached the most bad ass defensive line in football for the past two years. They whipped ass. He coordinated a defense last year that was part of an NFC championship team. Maybe you Trgo/Fox defense haters forget all that.

Oh, and there is a big reason Minter doesn't play offense, but ya'll are probably too stupid to understand that, too.

I'll give Vinny this - he had to grab a couple ankles and hold on but he wasn't a huge, huge, huge liability in his gap and that's a start. He was also somewhat active against the pass.
