Dwight Freeney is a hell of a lot better defensive end than Peppers, and Foster runs just fine inside. :bananalam

I said I didn't remember you being at the lair during the season or before the season of 2001. If you were, you were. But you were at charlotte.com, and you and I had this argument there.

That's all I got. I'm not going to argue over it anymore, because honestly, this argument was over a good while ago when a couple of people actually came out and said they remembered me saying it anyway. It wasn't even like I was going around every other day and saying "I told you Smitty was a good pick" or anything like that. Anyone who was actually here in 02 and 03 knows how much I bitched about him.

    But sure.

I was thinking about your 99.9% claim on QB's.

Got the visual of your ass sitting at home with a damn general ledger making little marks of times you though you were right.

Damn, which thread have you not got into an argument with somebody? All this knowledge of yours and you waste your time correcting all of us on this board. Shit, I would think all the NFL teams would be knocking your door down for your advice. :blah: :blah: :blah:

Dwight Freeney is a better pass rusher, don't think I ever said he wasn't, Peppers is better at all the rest, and Foster runs better on the outside than the inside. Oh I am sure you meant to type middle, so I will go ahead and claim that for you.

Perhaps I remembered it wrong, but I don't recall anyone defending the Smith pick. Some mollified by saying that he could be useful, but I don't remember anyone at all saying that he was worth selecting in the third round. None of us even knew who he was. At the same time, people have also said that I was at the Lair in 2001, so it's a little ridiculous for you to continue insisting that I don't even remember where I was at that point.

And yes, this argument is among the most stupid we've ever had.

I said it was a small reach, at the time. Maybe we should argue 20 posts or so on what you feel "defending" a pick is, and what I feel "defending" a pick is.

Or, STFU. And yeah, this argument was at charlotte.com.

fuck it, i defended the pick. i write in a magazine for blind dyselxic midgets and when i did my football preview back in 2001 i talked about how excited i was about steve smith being picked. i also said we should have traded our first 3 picks for ryan leaf, so i'm not ashamed to admit when i'm wrong.

but don't EVER tell me i didn't like the smitty pick.
