Yeah, but you were going to do it, and I always dug that. And truthfully, you were so balls out, I thought I had better be on game....

Mags did defend it some. I do remember, because I was fairly incensed at the pick. Smith was rated highly by very few. And though mags did find a couple that put him first day, mostly I wanted a back and we had already whiffed on McCalister for Morgan and Jordan for Jenks.

    Barlow's been fumble prone.

With full hindsight, I'd have rather taken Tampa's trade down offer and taken Duece, or just taken him. But you know how that game goes. I was really jonesing for Morgan. I never thought he'd take so many bad angles.

I remember (unfortunately) having to cite that the Observer had rated Smitty in the 70s.

Deuce woulda worked. I wanted him. Don't know that he would've been great in that 2001 O, but that's like saying "what if we had ________ at QB." Woulda been a shitty season for just about anyone. He was a WCO fit, and you could almost hope that the new line and the raw talent of DM woulda made it hard to fuck it up.

I thought we were going to go Stroud. I woulda been allright with that.

Collin is, magnus is, and you're in denial.

Arguing for pages on end about innane shit on the intarweb is fucking nerdy.

    I'm nerdy for even participating.

But Collin and Mags are kinda the top nerds - which, in my book, means I can give them shit. And if they argue about not being nerds - it only reinforces my point.

I don't know how anyone can look at this thread and not call 'nerd'.

I prefer the term "geek." In fact, I think you're an anti-nerdite.

And I pimped McAllister over Morgan, but it's all moot at this point.

There's little about me that's not a emerrsed in geekdom.

Forget about internet wars. I'm amazed my wife stayed with me after she saw the cabinets full of concert records. With a specific filing detail and instructions. And a matrix of songs/shows.

She makes me keep that stuff hidden away now. It was once prominently displayed.

I've admitted my nerdism many a time here. I don't give a shit - football is the greatest sport known to man. It, and improvisational music, are two of the things I enjoy most, and so I'm balls-deep into them at all times. Knowing and pursuing that knowledge is enjoyable to me. I love it.

Not just football, though. I was a band geek before I played ball, and I grew up to be one. I went to school to be an engineer - that cemented it. If I hadn't spent a fair portion of college with band groupies and the underage girl I stashed in the mountains, I would be wearing a pocket protector right now, at 12:05.

    Oh, and Collin = Omarosa.

Hardly. You fuck with people a lot more than I do. When I argue with someone it's because I genuinely disagree with them, not because I'm trying to stir shit up.
