If we could get a second rounder for him, or maybe even a third I would do it. I think he can still be a top WR but he is getting older and has a bad attitude. Funny how we gave up this year's second for Edwards and now would be happy to get that pick back in exchange for Smitty.

All I know is something's got to change. Too many great players want out.

Kris Jenkins, Julius Peppers, Steve Smith...these should be core players...enough is enough.

Kris Jenkins was an overweight guy who was used up. He has not played a full season in a long time, never as a Jet. Peppers is a bit of a basket case and was not worth the money he wanted. Smith is more troubling to see go but most receivers are high strung and cause problems when the QB struggles. Look at Moss and Owens and what they did when stuck with a weak QB.

Jenkins had good years left. Doesnt matter if he didn't, fact is, he, Peppers, who everyone can say sucks all they want, he was and is a beast- AND Smitty, all very good players wanted OFF this team.

    That is not ok.

Jenkins has been hurt ever since he left here. He has yet to play a full season for the Jets. I am glad we got something for him.

Peppers is awesome at times but very inconsistent. I would not want to pay him what the Bears are paying him in return for two or three awesome games per year and then twelve games where he is a non factor.

Smith is still a good player but he has lost a step and is on the downside of his career.

I hate to hear this, only because of all the good memories that he gave us during his early years,,, but hey we all get older. Smith has lost a step or 2, we've seen him have more drops than usual, and truthfully from a business standpoint we probably shouldve traded him a year or so ago while we could still get something for him. In fact I know THAT VERY SUBJECT was discussed on this board more than once. From a business standpoint, its just plain business,,,, but from a fan's standpoint, I wish him the very best because I enjoyed watching him and I'm glad he was on our team all those years.

As for him having an attitude or not,,, well he don't need that. What he needs to remember is that Panther fans still love him. And he may find out that a lot of folk around the league now consider him "the other Steve Smith".

I think the most exciting player we've ever had on the team. Issues, yes, but I'll miss him regardless. Thanks for all the thrilling moments Steve.
