Since this is the second time Smitty smacked the shit out of a teammate they really needed to do that. You cant set a bad precidence that one person is bigger than the team. Had he been fined or missed some preseason games would the punishment have fit the crime?

Its not like it was like a fight breaking out in the trenches. Smitty jumped him on the sidelines and we could have lost Lucas for even longer.

This is more of a team morale and respect issue. He took full reponsibility and accepted the repercussions. To appeal would make his appology seem less sincere. Just get it over with and come back to work ready to go.

Maybe. I guess i took is seriously because i heard a few people ask why didnt they just suspend him for preseason when i was watching the Skins game last weekend. Saying the suspension hurts the whole team not just Smitty. Some fans do sit in the Just Win Baby section. Probably the fairweather type or Fantasy guys but still, ive heard it said a few times already. If we lose to SD and CHI im sure they'll be talking about it non stop.

Will Smith travel with the team to San Diego during the suspension?

I'd imagine not since he is banned from the facilites for those 2 weeks.

Thanks...I wasn't aware of that. Figured he would practice during the suspension, but not play in the games. He could have been useful on the sidelines, giving info to the other WR's.

But then again...they probably aren't on speaking terms with him. :handbang:
