well, Berger going on PS doesn't bother me. Ellison not making the team, after we traded up for him, isn't good. He was the highest draft pick not to make a team, and couldn't beat a UDFA.

    Hell yes.

Man - we are deep. If we don't make a run - then you can almost call the whole thing luck.

Ellison is almost as much of a disappointment as Shelton.

They're both disappointing. Shelton's still here, though, technically. Ellison could be gone in a month and it probably wouldn't even matter.

Well when you look at it as overall team depth then it looks better. When you look at it as stashing your second round pick on the IR with a "broken" foot because he can't make the team, flat out cutting your third because he can't make the team, and cutting a fourth because he can't make the team, I have to believe there were players in those slots that COULD have made the team. I'm not in position to tell you who those players were, but I'm almost certain they were there. No one should judge a draft this early, I just said it looks bleak so far.

So how does the pay work? Say Ellison previously signed a contract for "x" years, for "x" dollars, with "x" signing bonus. I assume he keeps the signing bonus. The rest of the contract is voided? And now he's on PS pay, which I believe is a little over $4000 / wk? Am I thinking right?

...and if he's brought up to the 53 man roster there has to be a new contract negotiated I assume.
