considering Moose & Rosario were out, Jarrett sucks and Smitty getting doubled.... plus we played with a lead the whole game and even the best run defense in the league didn't have an answer for JStew/DW... aside from getting hurt, Jake had a perfect game

I still go back to the Philly play-off game when I think we had less than 10 pass plays the first half... Fox told Henning we needed to run the ball more the second half.... and Jake was having the best year of his career passing wise... so whatever

The petition wasn't about boycotting watching the home team, it was about boycotting actually GOING to the games and spending $7 a beer in the stadium. Anyway, I deleted the thread, I thought as much as people here bitch people might agree, but obviously I was wrong. Not sure why it even got brought back up. I never planned on not watching anymore. Just planned on watching without going in and was tired of paying any money at all to see shitty football. I haven't paid a dime to go in a game, and now I won't pay any money to buy their overpriced shit either, whether it's beer, merchandise, or a fucking $5.00 Wendy's burger.

Jake wasn't perfect, but he was adequate. They didn't need to go to the air, which is the way this team is built. Throw it when you have to, grind the defense down with the run all game long.

Why they had gotten away from the run when games (read the losses) were still within reach, is beyond me. When they fall behind by 14+, they have to throw. When its under 10, and they start chucking it, poeople get antsy.

ANd therein lies the problem with Jake.....as long as the run game is going well, Stevie Wonder could be our QB.....but ultimately a team is going to put you in a position where a QB has to beat them with his arm. We lose those games because Jake can't consistently do that. That's why we need a change at QB...teaching a thrower to handoff is much easier than getting a handoff QB to throw well. Of course, that's just my opinion.
