If the Panthers are wanting to be like the Steelers then they wont open the bank vault for him. I mean come on even Nick Goings had about 5 100 yard games one year so with a decent ol then why drop a lot of cash into the running back position.

I'd think they'd have to resign him to trade him. This is why I've been more for trying to trade Stewart.

    Good blog, BTW.

My thought is DW will be signed by someone else for more money than we are willing to give him. That is fine with me. Running backs have the shortest shelf life of any position in pro sports. DW has finished the season on IR two years in a row now. I do not doubt he has another good year or two left in him but I would not pay out huge money for it.

Goodson and Stewart should be good enough to give us a solid running game if we can sort out the other problems we have on offense.

    Disagree

No new CBA means we throw highest RPA tender his way.

New CBA means we go transition like we did with Foster or maybe franchise.

We've taken action to keep the mileage down. He's got 3-4 quality years left assuming we can provide quality blocking.

my thought on what panthers should do with him is to franchise him if there is a new CBA deal in place. Then trade him .As i posted in my blog i think about 7 to 12 teams will be looking to get a new RB.We can get a 2nd rd pick for him which would help us in long turn as well for short turn
