    the league didn't allow enough time after the olympics ended to the start of the new season. the wings will be without 5 swedes (most of whom are their better players) so they can attend a victory parade in sweden....and datsuyk had travel problems so he won't play tomorrow night either.

    Detroit's in pretty good shape in the standings, 9 points clear of Nashville. Give the Swedes a few days off, and let them recharge a little. Not the end of the world for the Wings.
