You're right that in Colin's example, that extra mil is not chump change, but you really have no facts to back that up. I'm sure some would, some would not. Some wouldn't play in Buffalo regardless how much you wanted to pay (as an example). There are too many variables to put any kind of blanket "+20%" statement in what amounts to a thought experiment.

In the hypothetical case of a player choicing between playing in Georgia at $5M versus $6M in North Carolina that extra $1M, just taking into account the top income tax rate, would see $90k of that taken up just to cover the state income tax difference. 9% of that $1M gone. So to keep it at a 20% "real dollar" premium you'd have to pay him at $6.09M or almost a 22% premium.

This plays out with so many scenarios I doubt you could determine a blanket premium percentage.

And paying 20% more than I expected for Charles Johnson would have been incredibly stupid. What about that is difficult for you to understand? Maybe I'm wrong and you aren't just pretending to be stupid, maybe you actually had some kind of brain injury while I was away.

I didn't say he lied. You're a pathological liar, but most people aren't. You do it because you're too much of a coward to admit when you screw up. Seriously, how can you defend taking six years to admit you were wrong about Shawne Merriman not being able to play LB in the NFL? And there are so many more examples than that behavior with you. As for Jenkins, if the money is similar then most guys would sign with a team they're familiar with (hence the favoritism we hoped we'd get from CJ) or think will have a good shot at a championship. But in the end, for the vast majority of players it ultimately comes down to money.

except Jenkins said he wanted to go to Philly more than he wanted more money. Did he say"except I'd really go to the worst team for 20% more and wouldnt let Philly match"?
