You try to point the finger at me for making this a racial issue and thats pure bullshit. If I were trying to make this a racial issue, I woulda been all over you about the guerilla comment you made above. We both know that that's a term that is constantly associated w/ an oversized black person, but I gave your ass the benefit of the doubt, but now since you are obviously looking for race issues in my comment, I have to wonder did you in fact mean yours in a racist way. What if I had said Davenport looks like a typical cracker . You would've been all over it, but like your comment, I could have meant it in a way that had nothing to do w/ race. I could have been refering to her pale complexion.

Well, add this to one of them, b/c my comment had nothing to do w/ race.

I don't care what you wonder or what you decide to think. I said she looks like a gorilla and I damn well meant she does. If you took it as racist then maybe thats the way you think about things.

I must not hang out with the same crowd you do cause I don't constantly associate the word "gorilla" with an oversized black person. Maybe you better check yourself and your way of thinking.

I wonder if the shit treatment she got was for her mouth or her citizenship? Had she been a Italian instead saying what she did would she have gotten treated the same way. I think it's somewhere in the middle. She shouldn't have said what she did but the French still don't like Americans and I don't like the treatment she got

It was nothing else but sportsmanship. When you get on the court, it's sportsmanship and you have to handle yourself that way whether you are a spectator or the player. No matter what! Period. I've played and I've been a fan since I was 7. Spectators shouldn't involve themselves on the court of play. It goes the same way with golf.

Serena won there last year and you don't treat past champions with "BOOs". Though you guys forgot the fact that Serena did pummel their French Open hopeful Amelie Mauresmo in the Final 8, maybe that had something to do with it also.

Sometimes I can't stand her because she runs her mouth but she's good. She knows it. Martina Hingis ran her mouth too but she was good. This can happen with young stars. I've seen what coaches do to these kids.

The sisters will be back. One of them will win the wimbledon next month.

PS...Oh yeah another thing, that semifinal went to 3 sets and 7-5 in the 3rd. That's their moneys worth of tennis no way they should boo anyone.

and no..it's not a race issue.

The same way I asked has she booed other tennis players off the court, and that's what I d@mn well meant. If you took it as racist then maybe thats the way you think about things.

I know Serena is very cocky, but so are most American athletes. As for talent, Serena's can't be denied. Since you asked if I watched the game, do you watch the game for the game? If so, what part of the game has to do w/ her looking like a gorilla? I can understand someone having issues w/ her attitude, but what is the big deal w/ her size/looks? These would be very valid if she were in a beautly contest, but professional tennis is a SPORT.
