    Any of you have any experience with THIS book? Thought it looked interesting and might help with composition and subjects.

    I have it. It hasn't turned me into Ansel Adams yet but maybe I can't blame that on the book.
    I actually took a photography class about five years ago (it's impressive how much you can forget in five years). One exercise our instructor had us do was to go out and shoot the alphabet. You couldn't use actual letters but it could be tools, clouds, mailboxes, shadows - anything that when photographed, looked like a letter. You say you try to shoot something every day. You might try that.
