As many of you know, the NFL implemented a new policy for all NFL teams on Aug 28th that stats all stadiums are to conduct gender specific physical pat downs of all game attendees from now on. This was started at the Steelers game and some people may have noticed a delay in getting into the stadium.

The Charlotte Police Department has informed me that 40% of the people that attend a Panthers game enter through the North Gate (Graham Street) entrance and are going to try and urge people to enter through the other gates as well. The East Gate (Mint Street) has the least amount of traffic. And there is of course the South Gate (Morehead Street). What about the West Gate? Got to work for the Panthers or play for the Saints to get through that one. Although if you get escorted out of the stadium, you get to exit through the West Gate. If you are a bad boy, you get to see that the Panthers have a jail just like Philly. (No judge though)

So if you are going to the game Sunday, make sure and leave a few minutes earlier than normal and if you typically go through the North Gate, consider walking a few extra yards and go in through the East Gate to save some time.

I have suggested to the CPD and the Panthers that they hang some signs over the checkpoints indicating Men and Women so that people can get in the proper line before hand. I entered the North Gate last game and that was the biggest cause of delay.

Just a little community service announcement!

Then you'd have guys that weren't actually going to the game coming up for security checks.

Just got word from the police Major in charge of stadium security that there will be signage over each gate indicating lines for men and women...

So, how much extra time compared to last year would you suggest is needed to get through the gates?

An extra 15 minutes. If you plan to enter before kickoff, then you should be at a gate no later than 12:25. Of course if you head into the stadium earlier to catch warmups and stuff, it will be better
