Boston is roster filler, but sure, the other two have shown enough to be long-term contributors even if not surefire starters. I believe that safety is generally easier to address than corner, teams just look for the wrong players. They value speed and range, but the very name of the position reminds us that safeties need to be in the right place to protect the rest of the defense. You want guys who have Kuechly's natural understanding of the play's flow even if they're a little slow, as they will start moving to the right place earlier than the clueless guy with tons of speed.

Norman has held his own against some pretty good players without much help from a pass rush. I'm not over the moon excited about him and I wish he'd cut out all the other bullshit, but I'd be comfortable with him as a 2015 starter. Bene has also looked promising but I want to see a bigger sample size. Either way there's still a need to infuse depth at CB because Melvin White has started to play like the undrafted free agent from Bumfuck A&M that he really is.

I guess my biggest concern with Norman is that both he and the Panthers will start thinking he's better than he really is. I could picture him being one of those guys who plays like dogshit after getting a big contract. Physically, there's nothing about him that concerns me. We've always known that he has ability. It's just a matter of keeping shit straight from the neck up with him.

They've been good enough for a few weeks. We did a nice job against Atlanta's passing game and the Minnesota loss had almost nothing to do with our defense except Cason.
