Seems since the Texas Longhorns didn't get Nick Saban they think they can swoop in and get Peyton. Doubt it happens but from a Panther point of view I think it would be great

I don`t know, I would sort of miss his mule-eating-briars facade two times a year.

Payton doesn't strike me as the kind of coach that would do as well at the college level. NFL "masterminds" seem to struggle to adapt their schemes for 19 year olds on a restricted practice schedule.

No offense, PP, but please do not bring Texas rumors in here. Those idiots are the most delusional fans on the planet and after dealing with two years of "Clemson and FSU have already agreed to leave the ACC they just have to sign the papers" nonsense I do not want to hear anything about their coaching search. If anyone from UT called Payton he would politely tell them to fuck off. And they're not getting Harbaugh either, even though ESPN is floating that idea (ESPN feeds Texas rumors because it drives revenue for The Longhorn Network which they run). They'll probably end up getting some mediocre coach that leaves everyone disappointed and wondering why anyone wasted their time speculating about it in the first place.

Agreed, just thought it was pertinent since he is a divisional coach. Texas fans think anyone would jump at their job. Shitty way they did Mack Brown.
