    Good for Wahle, I hope he does well out there. He is probably more suited to what they want to do, he was certainly better in Green Bay than he was here.

    Free agents become free agents on the start of the new year, traditionally March 1. Until that time, they're not free agents. If we wanted to trade, for instance, Deke Cooper on February 29th, we could, we still own his rights. Whoever owns his rights can negotiate with him, until he's free.

    Cutting a player with 5 years or more experience makes him a free agent.

    I'm tellin you, the Panthers need a real road grinder in the middle; like Baas v.2. Somebody better than Baas. Somebody DW can run behind and feels comfortable with.
