it shows the fans want him here... being a good player isn't always enough. If he's got a group with that single motivation it can't hurt.

Yeah, press guys came by and saw the board but didn't stop to ask anything. Would have been a great story had they bothered to pursue. I had Rich's name on my board as the creator of StM. Press dropped the ball on this one.

Dude, dropping the ball, would be them noticing you were there and writing nothing. Be happy he gave you a lil' nugget. He doesn't owe you anything.

Well, my note wasn't supposed to be about me. (And I'm a dudette thanks) I don't care anything about publicity because I'm one of those folks who would be QUITE content going through life invisible to those outside my family & close friends. What I was saying and maybe didn't say well is it could have gone further then a guy gave Moose a shirt and another fan had a shrine.

I don't want or expect anything but there's a story there beyond a t-shirt and a sign. Football is in part about fans & the team as the great football towns like Green Bay well know. Were I a reporter, a story like this would be more then a blip about shirts & signs. Good human interest sells papers.

It isn't about me at all.

The story hit Profootballtalk.com today too:

    FRIDAY ONE-LINERS:

Carolina fans have started a "Save Our Moose" effort in response to rumors that the Panthers will dump WR Muhsin Muhammad before paying him a $10 million roster bonus on March 1.

I just wanted to mention that I'm going to bring a stuffed toy Moose that my youngest got for Christmas (no, it's not a Christmas moose, just a regular one) with a sign around it's neck saying SAVE THE MOOSE #87. I haven't decided whether to take him in the stadium or not. I wanted to find a kid's #87 jersey to put on him, but I can't find one.

This will be covered on TV. If Moose makes plays and we win, it'll make Berman's countdown.
