Jets are making the same mistake we made last offseason. They think they're close to being a superbowl team. They have a good team but a lot of things went right for them.

Explain this to me, last offseason we decided we had a good team and paid through the nose to keep it together this offseason the jets decided they had a good team and have probably changed starters at WR/CB with trades- how is that the same mistake?

Thinking they are better than they really are. We had a great '08 season, we overachieved much like Jets did this past season. Were it not for the Colts decision to pull their starters, Jets don't make the playoffs.
While its true that we didnt sign any players last offseason, we thought we were close to having a superbowl contending team. With the release of Delhomme & all these older players we realized that we were not!
Give the Jets credit for going all out this offseason, but I think it was just one of those seasons were you come out of nowhere & overachieve.

Wow that's cheap. Wasn't the Super Bowl MVP a couple years back? Hines Ward isn't getting any younger

Great. Can't trade the QB to make a point, I guess.

Peter King should be shot for using "redonkulous" in his column.

I dont think we overachieved in '08. I think our QB tanked.

If Sanchez can improve his sophomore season, I think the Jets are a contendah.

That was cheap for Holmes. Pittsburgh must have decided that they had enough of his off the field antics. I guess Mike Wallace will start for them now? Limas Sweed still alive?
