After a decade of Cams garbage mechanics and Teddys miscues, I've been watching some film of Darnold and god his throwing mechanics are fantastic. No wasted motions just step in and quick release.

You must be watching him on fast forward. His slow-ass release is a primary reason why he's been one of the NFL's worst quarterbacks since 2018.

Frankly, the more I watch him and read about him, the more it looks like an awful, reactionary move by Fitterer. Even if there was sufficient evidence of Darnold being a good player, it's undeniable that he's a bad fit for this particular offense, which requires accuracy and decisive action by it's quarterback. His stats will look better because he'll have better checkdown options than he had in New York, but until he can consistantly hit intermediate targets from the pocket, he's no different than Kyle Allen or Will Grier.

Yet former QB's and pro scouts are saying the opposite.

    I guess we'll soon see.

Since 2019, only one quarterback has finished in the bottom five in both QBR and passer rating. His name is Sam Darnold.

So he has nowhere to go but up?

He's going to do great, and Phil is getting his wife back.

    Get used to it.

Grier probably would've 'won' said competition had he met the minimum plays threshold.
