Darnolds throwing motion will not be fixed, doesn’t need to be. He’s not Tebow, he’s Rivers and it is what it is. .. a quirky strength, not weakness. Seems his problems would be the between the ears variety but I also belief that he can be coached into a winner. A good series of cerebral douches would be helpful to get all that losing and poor decision making out of there. Maybe a young emptied vessel with amazing arm talent for Rhule and Co to mold into “their guy” is exactly what carolina needed. .. but once again it’s rolling dice, and I would still rather have had Brissett to make winning THIS year more likely. I’d bet Brissett racks up more wins this season than Darnold.

Darnold is similar to Winston and they'll be running similar offenses, so that will be an interesting comparison to follow, assuming Jameis wins that job.

The only one I'd consider above average in that group is Ryan Kalil. The rest were/are merely serviceable. IMHO

Did Darnold play shortstop in high school?

As a backup? Unlikely that. He wasn't signed there to start as noted by Pelissero when he joined them ("Pelissero noted during an appearance on NFL Free Agency Frenzy on Tuesday that Brissett is being brought in as a backup and mentor for Tua, not competition"). Unless Tua is so terrible they have to start Brissett it won't be happening.

    You never know though.

Right but I believe Tua is perishable and if he does go on IR Brissett will be the man. .. and that “mentor not competition” never means shit. It only serves to motivate, whether it’s deep down known or not pro athletes drool for the chance to start and unfortunately for Tua I’m
betting it will be a big year for his “tutor”

You'll lose that bet. Jacoby Brissett fucking sucks. He's the non-alcoholic Kyle Orton.
