They need to be telling the truth. The last thing those people need is to be lied to. That would be worse than picking up and leaving within a week of the disaster.

If they mean it, and can realistically do it, then that's great. I do think Benson loves NO and probably wants to do this. All I was looking for was not to say the opposite, at least right now.

Anyway, it may be that the legislators misinterpreted what the employee said. I'm sure they're very distraught. Or maybe he did say that, and Benson is reacting. Who knows.

Wow. How far is San Antonio from New Orleans? Of course, season ticket holders are probably scattered all over after the hurricane.

I heard that Baton Rouge, the state capital, which is nearby but NOT below sea level, has doubled its population this week, and it may be permanent.

But you're right. Apparently 25,000 NOers are in SA now.

I think they are lying, but I can't decide if it's a good lie or not right now, at least if public officials know the real truth and don't spend money on the team. It makes no sense for the Saints to stay in New Orleans given how much the already depressed economy has been damaged by the hurricane (I wonder how many homes/businesses had flood insurance).

As for San Antonio, it's big enough to support a team. I know Benson has ties to the city, but I'd be really surprised if the league didn't put a lot of pressure on him to move to L.A. if anywhere.

PFT is saying that Benson is not telling people he wants to move. That employee is acting as a whistle blower. He's telling people in hopes they can change Benson's mind. This makes more sense.

For hopefully the last time, PFT does not know anything about anyone. Seriously, when you're wrong 90% of the time, there is no point in listening any longer. And the 10% they get right are usually things they repeat from a legitimate source.
