    they're interchangeable. But, the hope is that we can get someone with a FS skillset. I'm more expectant we get a generic, Marlon McCree* style zone safety, which is all we really need, which is why I don't want a safety with a 1st.

    From the stuff I have read on Phillips he may be long gone by 13 if he has good workout numbers. I am fine with shooting for Decoud in round two. I just do not see Cooper or a generic zone guy as being enough with all due respect to Mags.

    Eugene Wilson would be a nice addition.

    Curt (Denver) : Is Kenny Phillips going to slip out of the first round?

    [​IMG] Mel Kiper: He's a borderline first. I personally like Kenny Phillips. As you watched him last season, you really liked him and thought he could go in the top 15. This year, he looked like a fourth rounder. There's a middle ground there. If he can revert back to his sophomore form, you have a good safety, in a year where the safety position is not strong.
