Maybe I saw it wrong, but shouldn't Peppers have been credited with a sack in the early going vs. Tampa when Simms booted left, avoided Rucker's tackle and was shoved out by Julius? Or maybe he got back to the scrimmage line. Any thoughts?

    I agree

When I saw that play, I commented that it was a sack. My buddy agreed.

Later I read somewhere that the official score was to be revised so that Peppers would be credited a sack on that play.

He got back to the line of scrimage. I thought it should have been one too.

it seems that if a QB only gets back to the line of scrimmage, the defense is credited with a sack....generally, it happens when the QB is out of the pocket (at least that is what has been announced in the Press Box during home games).

I don't know if that is correct or not, it's just what I have heard.

    Adding 'em up

That makes six for the game and I believe it's been a while since the Panthers were credited with that many in one contest.
