Grid, I figured it would be easiest to contain our ramblings to one thread.

What did you think of the scuffle last night? Apparently Francona needs to have whoever throws batting practice to throw at people.

I think it will happen again once or twice more this season. It's weird. A perennial contender and a perennial bottom feeder getting into it at every turn. It's not like there's any rivalry. My thoughts are, at least for this series, that Perez set the stage with his walk off homer Saturday, flipping his bat and gesturing at his dugout. Then again, it's the Sox-rays, so something would have happened anyway.

Oh, speaking of Perez's home run, it came off a groove job from Embree. It's easy to get away with straight fastballs when they're coming in in the high 90s. His are coming in at 90, 91. Not much left in that tank, I'm afraid. Focker's ERA is over 5, but so is Mantei's. Thank God Timlin's throwing well.

good news. but I hold him back as long as possible. and if the current rotation continues to perform as well as it has (with the exception of Schilling) they can afford do.

I used to kind of like the Red Sox, but is has become apparent to me that they are truely a bunch of punks.
