    sorry, savio

so yeah. Now Martz isn't wanting to stay. Herm Edwards has been rumored to be looking to leave.

It's entirely possible that Capers, Tice, maybe Billick will get to stay through the end of the season out of mercy. Certainly seems like they'll get cut by the end of the year, and will soon be followed by Haslett. Norv Turner might be done already, after just two years.

Vermiel might step down. Be funny to see Martz in there. Actually, taking his own handful of offensive staff with him, and adding it back to Al Saunders, Mike Solari, and the defensive staff, you have a fairly explosive pairing. Martz might actually buy some good receivers to finish out Trent Green's career with, and I'm sure Martz had a hand in having brought Green to the Rams in the first place, given he was QBs coach with Washington.

I think that Jeff Fisher's safe. He, and everyone else, knew that this year would be hard.

There's thought that Billick and Haslett will get 2nd chances. Brad Childress and Pete Carroll seem to be hot commodities, and Gary Kubiak seems to be mentioned a bit in Houston already. Past that, it's going to be hard putting together much with some of these teams without salvaging some pretty beat-up resumes.

Capers might already be penciled in at New York, where Tim Lewis keeps falling - a couple years ago, he was getting interviews for head coaching spots, and let it interfere with his work. Anxiety over whether or not he'd be fired, which didn't seem an issue, became one, and he was predictably fired. Now, Coughlin's scapegoating a fairly crappy defense for the Giants not being a better team, even though they're fairly decent now, and he might see Lewis packing.

I'm really hoping the Ravens will end up SO bad that Billick gets axed.

For a so called QB/Offensive guru, he's had enough chances. That team was built for a Joe Gibbs-type coach.
Capers should be gone by Tuesday, Haslett should have been gone last year!

2nd chance in that he's only had one HC job in this league.

The only problem with firing Haslett now is Joe Public and the media are going to make Benson out to be some sorta ruthless villain for firing Haslett with all the New Orleans tragedy fresh in peoples minds, real football fans (like those here) will remember the last few season when he should have been fired, but the regular Joe won't.

he's gonna be a villian anyways after moving the team this year. Might as well be one for canning the coach too.

Firing Hasslett will only exacerbate the Saint's current problems and further complicate their issues. It won't happen

    Guys who will go:

Haslett - he has had plenty of time to win with a talented team
Martz - running the ball is not a sin
Tice - worst coach in the league?
Turner - never been a fan of his, seen little improvement
Vermiel - he said this was his last year
    Capers - no improvement
Billick - he needs to go or they need to blow up the team and start over

As noted, if Martz goes it will be because he wants to leave. He has another year on his contract and certainly won't be fired, but he is grumbling about not getting an extension and may not choose to come back.
