Every year? Teams adjusted. They underachieved last year, because we know what drives them. It's the 290 lb guy who can run a 4.5, not the coach on the sidelines suddenly becoming awful.
In 05, we finished 5 in sacks/attempt. Without Rucker being up to what people expected of him - maybe Sunseri at that point was coaching age into Rucker. Or, he was still getting pressures but not sacks, which is how it happened. In 03, we were 7th in sacks/attempt, so I don't know that we've gotten worse. every. year. or. how. ever. it. was. that. you. stated. it.

That we made the wrong choice in Kemo, that we aren't getting out of Lewis the impact that we saw in early 06, those aren't on him. I don't blame him for us keeping Jordan Carstens and Kindal Moorehead instead of Tony Brown, when it was clear Brown had the upside. He didn't keep those guys instead of developing a young player.

I'm not a fan of Mike McCoy, and I've noted as such often. I'm not blaming him for David Carr, or Vinny wearing down. I wouldn't mind him being replaced but I know it won't happen. He was named Passing Game Coordinator, and our passing game worsened. I'm not campaigning for him to be gone. There were things out of his control no matter what I feel of him. I find that a bigger problem, but as much now because he has the ear of the guy responsible.

You dont have to keep scapegoating Peppers for the entire line's failures last year, too. Peppers played poorly last season, but hey, Sun is only the line coach, and he has nothing to do with any of it, huh. And who said anything about him becoming SUDDENLY awful?

Hey, maybe he was! And by your reasoning, perhaps Ken was coaching Dan to get multiple concussions! Seriously, take that condescending shit elsewhere.

Listen- If you have to go to 05 to get a pressure per attempt statistic, good for you. The fact is, our DL has underperformed for a while now. I find it hard to believe you find this to be ALL OF A SUDDEN like you said above. But defend him with all. your. condescension. with. all. these. periods. and saying coaches coach age into players and all that stuff youre doing...really, your defense of Sunseri is kinda cute. You've always beenloyal that way...that no matter how much someone sucks, once youve decided you like them, nothing else matters.

No, I think as a line coach, he can be made accountable for various potential blue chippers turning out to be disappointments, lol. And you dont think Sun had ANY input with Brown, Haye, vs. some of the others? Really?

Good for you, noble one ;). Im not campaigning for Sun to be gone either. I was just lurking and reading, and I saw a few posts where there were names of our coaches being tossed around for termination, and noticed that Sun wasn't on any one. I think he's one of our weakest coaches. It's what it boils down to, Im sorry that irks you.

oh yeah, I forgot you were railing him when we were playing well there too.

Why? That's what I'm getting. Sunseri obviously taught Peppers how to play poorly and lose strength.

Two years ago, sure. You brought up the idea that we were getting worse every year, and this speaks against that.

We had a crap year, that included being 4th/average for the run. That's it, one year where we were awful v/s the pass and it coincided with a Julius Peppers collapse. Everyone else had stats similar to what they had last year, down to pressures, so do the math.

He has input into getting them. He doesn't decide the roster. Just like how you blamed Flajole for letting WW go, for some reason. You should know better.

You're saying he's worse than Crossman, who's on everyone's list to be fired, so either you are asking for it, or you're sending very curious signals. Either he's not good or he's good enough.

It doesn't. I just disagree and I'm getting tons of shit for resisting you on it.
