They need a Rooney rule for not keeping players on the roster that rape women that seems to be a bigger issue in Steeler country right now.

WHites are a minority in the NFL...shouldn't they get special protection?

The Rooney Rule is in and of itself racist. It indirectly states that all white people are racists and the white owners wouldn't bother to even talk to "them people" unless an enlightened man like St. Daniel Rooney forced them to. That's just stupid and ignorant.

Race, creed, or religion doesn't matter a damn. What matters is ability. Can this person lead a team and win? Period. That should be the only qualifier in hiring a coach.

I wonder if interviewing a woman would satisfy the Rooney Rule. How about a redhead? What constitutes a "minority" with regards to this rule? Does it actually define the term? So many questions...

It gives black candidates some interviewing experience, which is a good thing, but the application should be "strongly encouraged" instead of mandatory. I'm pretty sure that any owner could challenge the rule in court and get any fines thrown out.

I stuck my dick in a light socket. In fact, that might explain why I'm posting here.

Each team should hire a black transgender midget with Tourette’s Syndrome.

Imagining what the NFL will look like in five years makes me profoundly depressed, but that's life I guess. Things evolve. Doors close, others open.

Changes to the largely box checking exercise of the rooney rule aren't going to do much.

Enjoy special teams while they exist
