I'd say the best Rookie QB's this year have been Trent Edwards and Matt Moore.

    LOL. Lucky us.

Yeah, I hate to brag too much about Moore, but that was one hell of a first outing when you consider all the circumstances.

I know it's a radical idea for a lot of Panther fans right now, but I think Fox and Hurney deserve a little credit for signing guys like Matt Moore and Chris Harris. Those two may have been the best bargain FA signings in the entire league this year. I still think it's way too early for people to be poo pooing on this past draft too, because some of those young guys are proving that they can play.

Have any other rookie QBs got any playing time this year? You are not really saying much there.

They didn't sign Harris as a FA, they traded for him.

Whatever...it was a brilliant move, and they deserve credit. Harris only cost us a 5th round pick, but he's playing better than any 5th rounder that I can think of.

it makes up for a very small part of making up for the failure to go get anyone of worth in the veteran market this year. Harris is an asset, and Cooper's been serviceable. That's about it.

Vinny, as well, was a good signing. I think if anyone would've told you that we started Vinny, got a couple wins off him, and he tailed off at the end of the year and had to be replaced, it wouldn't be surprising.

Fair enough, but where was the money gonna come from to sign "somebody of worth"? I think they did pretty darn good with what they had to work with. Minus David Carr, that is...but who knew he would be as bad as he has?

Texans fans. One told me the week he was signed that we could curse the day. He promised me it would happen.
