Roman Gabriel Leaves the Panthers Radio Network

[sds70]

I haven't seen anything official yet, but GerryV over at the CLT.com board mentioned that Roman Gabriel is no longer part of the Panthers Radio Network!!! His replacement will be Eugene Robinson (who, in case you forgot when he was playing for the Falcons was busted for soliciting a prostitute a couple of years ago down in Miami the night before the Super Bowl). Was Roman forced out or did he decide it was time to move on ? ? ? ?

Sports Media. He doesn't quote a source. I hope he's just jaggin' off.

no, I mean the football forum is a good place for this.

and yeah, Roman's gotta be one of the better color commentators I've heard.

I found Szoke's email on wrfx.com, which hasn't been updated in years, I think. I sent him an email and invited him to the board. Maybe he'll drop by...

As if we haven't had enough convicts on the freakin' team. Now we have a commentator that nails hookers the night before the super bowl while his wife and kid are in a hotel room sleeping just a few blocks away.

Today's Observer has a small little blip about it. Just says the Gabriel left and Robinson was in.

Although he had the prostitute thing right before the superbowl, he was known as a very smart player.

At least Robinson is literate, unlike Dickerson.
