Too bad, really. I had high hopes that Gardner would take a lot of the sting out of losing Moose. I guess not.

I'm thinking Cramer gets activated because Hoover might get some touches.

This is kind of surprising. He really should have made an impact by now if he was going to though. I would sure like to see Carter get some snaps. It would really help to know if we have anything with him before we have to decide what to do in the offseason.

My expectations were never too high to begin with. But it is too bad.

How many years of Carter hype do we need before we actually play him?

I have to admit I was pleased when we signed him. I expected more.

    I was pleased, too.

He is local, and sounded excited to be a Panther. I suppose that he just couldn't grasp the offense. It is dissapointing, but releasing him doesn't hurt us.

I'd expect him to be active over Carter because he can contribute on special teams as well as TE if needed.

Gaines won't play this week, nor will Davis, and with Gardner out Cramer can play FB or H-back, and Carter will probably get a jersey and a few snaps,

Did Gardner ever line up at TE, even in practice?

I was dissappointed too. I thought he might balance out our attack. What is there to learn about our offense? Run away from Steve Smith and hope a defender follows you, block for the running backs if they get past the line of scrimmage, make good tackles when Jake throws a pick.....
