I don't think it's a stretch to think that JR has decided to be more hands on since he, you know, fired his kids and all.

No, actually you denied his involvement in the Gilbert things for years, and only changed your opinion in the last couple. Back when it happened you were murdering Capers over it and attacking anyone who blamed someone else. You had a huge grudge against Capers for whatever reason, just as you had unconditional love for George Seifert.

His kids dealt with the business side, not the football side, and JR has always been very involved with the business aspect. Moreover, magnus just claimed that JR has been pulling the football strings for the last "14 years," so he's saying it isn't new at all.

Link to where I suddenly changed my mind for no reason in the middle of a decade and then changed it back? Because that seems unlikely and isn't what I believe.

FWIW, you're saying that he still isn't "pulling the strings" even though he "says he fucking is". VP's assertion that JR took greater control after heart surgery is essentially irrefutable.

You're actually going to pretend like you weren't murdering Capers for the Gilbert thing? Hopefully there are some other people who remember that, but kudos for asking about links from ten years ago.

Except that A) you claimed that JR has been doing this for "14 years," and B) Marty Hurney is the general manager. The general manager makes those decisions. Clearly you want to pretend like "general manager" means something other than what it does, both because you want to defend Hurney and because you know how much you pretending to be ignorant annoys me.

you brought it up, cherry picking the one you thought you could exploit, rather than talking about the examples as a whole. Since I figure you just gave up on the others, I assumed you had something to actually say about Capers/Gilbert, but apparently not.

*you claimed that JR has been doing this for "14 years,"

name a bigtime personnel man that JR has hired in that time.

*Marty Hurney is the general manager

of course he is. And he's culpable for his part. Blaming him for broad changes in direction isn't something he decided to do, he decided to do it because his owner told him to do so. That's clear and was stated by Richardson himself.

Plus Jordan Gross told you that in the first post.

Asking for ten year old links is what made you look ridiculous. That said, I can't be the only one who remembers how vociferously you called for Capers' head, and cited the Gilbert deal as a main reason.

George Seifert was given complete control from top to bottom. Are you seriously going to pretend that Seifert came out of retirement to coach a shitty team, knowing that the owner was going to have personnel control? This is honestly just getting embarrassing. You do this repeatedly. You say something dumb, then you dig yourself a deeper and deeper hole trying to defend that stupid statement. JR hasn't been running personnel for 14 years. In fact, he hasn't been doing it at all. He gives input from time to time, but he's not a Jerry Jones or Al Davis. Pretending otherwise when you know what you know is dishonest.

Pretty sure I'm killing Hurney for his horrible contracts, woman.
