I think Jon is the one who's in charge of deciding what color pants we wear.

How we we live without him?

this would be relevant to what's going on, if there was anything that had to do with what's going on in Carolina.

    But there isn't.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Mark & Jon will no longer be running the team/BoA Stadium (respectively) but they will still be part of the ownership group. The insist that the team isn't for sale (now). Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . .

Didn't Wayne Huzeinga just sell the Miami Dolphins/LandShark Stadium to Donald Ross (?) for $1 billion (Wayne now owns only 5-10% of the team). It was because he didn't want his heirs to pay the huge inheritance taxes that would be due on the team when he dies.

Look what happened to the Washington Redskins when Jack Kent Cooke died; The team was worth $700 million (?) at the time (team+FED EX FIELD) but the kids had to sell the team to Daniel Snyder because they couldn't afford the huge inheritance tax bill which was now due.

I think Papa Jerry is getting things in order to sell the team and reduce his shares to a minority share. Since he's managing partner, someone would just have to come up with half the value of the team ($500 million at least ?) to control the team; The current minority partners could still own their shares of the team. The Richardsons have seen the value of the team rise from $300 million dollars ($140 million expansion franchise fee+ $160 million stadium cost) to just a notch below $1 billion. With Jerry's health issues (yessssss, he's doing well right) he is simply getting everything in order now so if he passes (or he gets into a position where he can no longer run the team) the team will be in good hands financially.

ok then, maybe it's a stunt to divert attention away from just how bad they're going to suck balls this year. there's some relevance for ya.

It wouldn't be a horrible idea to sell the team before the whole world knows we suck. SD and Jax are in danger of suffering TV blackouts, that's not gonna help the league. Possible uncapped year... I am not ruling it out.

Maybe Mark and Jon buy out Jerry's ownership. No inheritance issues and the ownership stays in the family.

Gantt is insisting that there is nothing of interest going on which I'm sure is probably correct. However, if it were, it certainly wouldn't be known by anyone who would leak anything to him to be posted on his silly blog.

He says they want to get out from under the shadow of their father, but why would both want that at the same time, when he sayd the two have some issues between them. Seems it would be one or the other.

    Whatever...just my thoughts.
