Actually, Kemo's deal is a bargain by this years' standards. I read somewhere that he restructured his contract, and will only make about $850,000 this year anyway.

BTW, I found those contract numbers at Charlotte.com in the blog titled "Some Panthers Odds and Ends", for those who care to look.

    Couldn't find it.

I'm betting that kemo number is his new salary, but the rest of his salary that he restructured was turned into bonus.

But NFLPA says his salary is only $650k this year, escalating to $3.9 million next year, which means he's gone.

Doesn't mean he's gone. Means Hurney will restructure it again to convert $3 million into signing bonus.

I remember that Lucas/ Kemoeatu's salaries were somewhat low already, so that's why they saved only about a mil restructuring them.

Sorry folks, those contract numbers on Charlotte.com are for Colclough. I should have made myself more clear. I can't remember where I read about Kemo's restructure...it may have been Gantts' blog....I'll have to check the archives.

With the Panthers not even sniffing around a safety in free agency and this years draft being weak at safety, it is definitely looking like Marshall or Lucas could be moving to safety. Wesley and Colclough could come in on nickle situations..........

Have Fox/Hurney ever? They just don't believe in high investment at the position.

I'd rather just keep our corners where they are.

I've seen him play a couple times this last year. He made a few plays and got his name mentioned by the broadcasters. I don't mind it. We need hitters, and I'll bet we tryout 1 or 2 of our 4 top corners at FS this year.

Marshall was easily our best special teamer, he ssaved at least 3 TD's. Leave his ass there.
