One name was Pete Carroll. Certainly a good one, but he's getting up there in age. May not be a long term fit.

    Jim Harbaugh?

Does Pete come with the great drafts that gave him a secondary and sent Matt Flynn packing or do the panthers get the current shitty pete?

Harbaugh has been my dream choice for over a decade. I was on that train early in 2010 while John Fox was running out the clock. Unfortunately, the same people who hyped Matt Rhule straight into an NFL job would still contend that Jim Harbaugh is a better fit in college, and the Panthers are the sort of franchise that makes decisions based on what Colin Cowherd thinks.

Plus, I don't think Jim is leaving Michigan any time soon. It almost feels like he's trying to prove a point to all of the idiots who branded him as Saban type who jumps from job to job. I think he'll be in Ann Arbor for at least five more years.

Harbaugh is a great choice if you're trying to turn a train wreck into a nuclear disaster

Harbaugh is the real version of what people pretend Matt Rhule is. He takes over shit programs and turns them into contenders. He's now done this literally everywhere he's coached. He's done it in the NFL and he's done it in the NCAA.

Darnold is practically a rookie. He’s only 24. Next year is his year!
