We know that Wharton and Gross are adequate in their current roles and provide decent pass protection. What we need from the OL is better run blocking and that falls more on the guards than the tackles. I would just as soon trade down and get Brandon Albert. If we are going to use some of those Jets picks I would rather use them as part of a trade with Dallas to get their two numbers ones. #13 and one of our third round picks might net us #22 and #28.

    overall maybe not.

But you develop those lower guys, you don't count on them to start that often. It's a very "pay for what you get" position in the draft.

FWIW, I'm fine with a guy like Cherilus, whereas I'm just not feeling Sam Baker.

I'm all for BPA at 13. You never know who could slide. Although probably not QB.

I guess we'll be waiting until 2009 for a pass rush.

I'm all for trading down and going OL, the big guys are deep this year and we need as many draft picks as we can get...

I'm still looking for S/RB/WR/DE/QB/LB/DT/KR/PR/TE... how are we at LS?

I'm still ticked at the Saints for jumping ahead of us in the 05 draft and stealing Jammal Brown. Might not be in this spot is not for that. Of course, we got Thomas Davis though!!!:satana:

6 years at 36 million, all guaranteed, could get us a decent Long Snapper.

If they're bent on moving Gross to the Left side, why haven't they considered looking at Maurice Williams then?

Thats for a 3 handed long snapper. I'd imagine that a two handed long snapper would cost a lot less.

it's possible. There's a little room to move on that, in that we could force Wharton back outside and find a guard. But, it's a strong OT class and we have to have rush from somewhere, so BPA only gets you but so far.
