lol, Yeah. I'm over it now, kinda. We moved in and not two days later there were scuff marks on the refrigerator. No one has yet to claim responsibility.

I say hardwoods in the kitchen. To me- grout is a place for bacteria to breed and it's hard to keep clean, no matter how much you 'seal' it. Hardwoods are just easier in my opinion and look better. They don't show dirt as much either. The only thing is you need to sweep it more so you don't scuff it up with sand and grit on it.

Some people say it isn't as cost effective if you have a water leak though.

    Ehh...I'll take my chances.

I'll have a leak now.... damn it.

Wooden floor is always better in terms of look, but it is really a hard thing to clean that. Wooden floor can cause mold growth too, if there are any water damage to it.

Bought stainless appliances. They're in. Going to go with tile floor. Still deciding on counters. I like granite, but we haven't looked at anything else yet.

I used Granite floor tiles as my counters...(uba tuba) they are the perfect size, leave 1/8 gap with charcoal black grout and use a trim on the front that matches your cabinets...

no, but i've impoted a lot of it (granite) from China and you're going to pay about 4x more than he did. (part of the import docs are the commercial invoice - for duty purposes -showing the true purchase price)...shit's cheap :wtf23:
