I'm listening to NFLN and they are currently talking with the new GM of the Colts and how well the Colts have coached up low round and unknown players and how that is so important to their team.

Anybody with a troubling history of injuries is a no-no. So, rule out Hasselbeck, if he's remotely available. Thigpen would be a good fit. Has good mobility, good leader and put up impressive numbers in 2008. I believe he's with Miami now--not sure if he'll be available. Other than that, Tavaris Jackson works for me.

Anybody we get is going to be a gamble. Cutler looked like a sure thing to the Bears but he has not been any better than Orton was for them last year. I prefer to see us get a veteran though. It is rare for a rookie to play well at QB. The ones that have done it usually have done it because they had a lot of talent around them ala Big Ben or Flacco.

That doesn't explain the of guys that switch positions and have to learn new techniques or playing styles, how does that happen? Take Jason Peters, he played TE in college now he's a starting left tackle, or Samie Lee Hill of the Lions he played end in college now he's playing defensive tackle think the coaches don't help him with that transition? and you think having lesser coaches wouldn't have hurt that transition?

There's lots of factors that go into a bust pick, it's why some 'busts' have career revivals on other teams, with different coaches. Isn't this what you are hoping for us to get with Kyle Boller?

Lots of their better defensive players were lower round guys, must be Manning causing that too.
