I read this article this morning on bleacher report:

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1133170-br-nfl-1000-top-80-running-backs/

While I don't necessarily agree with all the rankings on here, I found it interesting that they rank DW as the 25th best RB and Stewart as the 13th. While I don't think DW is the 25th best, I don't think I'd rank him in the top 10 either due to his lack of versatility in the passing game, and that's also why I think Stewart is better than he is.

Clearly Hurney made a massive mistake with DW's contract, even though all of us wanted to see him come back (just not at that price). I think we've got another dilemma coming up next offseason regarding what to do with these two. I think if you can only keep one, Stewart is the one I'd go with.

Its gonna be interesting to see what they do with Stewart next season. For whatever reason Stewart was the target of 61 pass attempts and had 47 completed for a conversion of 77%.
Williams was targeted far fewer with 26 attempts and 16 completions for a 61% clip. Both had a similar avg yards at 8.8 and 8.4 for Stewart and DW respectively.

Hard to say why the completion rate is better for Stewart? Did we line DW out wide more and have him run a few more difficult routes? Or does Stewart have simply better hands and more confidence from Cam? Who knows.

Both are excellent pass blockers though and that is something that shouldn't be overlooked.

We may not have both in a week or so, and Stew is the one with the better contract situation and fewer miles on him.

which could explain why JStew got more attepts his way. he's probably on the field more on passing plays.
