no one says Plummer is setting high standards. However, the reactions to Plummer and Moss should be about that same. Obviously they aren't.

    How so?

Plummer got called out by just about every analyst. Moss got called out.

    They are both dopes.

I don't remember anyone shaking their head and talking about it being disgusting over and over again.

When it happened I was hoping he was going to pretend like he was taking a shit and drop the ball between his legs. That would have been classic.

Jake hasn't done stupid shit over and over and over and over again (unless you count INTs) like Moss though, so he probably got a little bit of leniency on the bird. Moss is a piece of shit, and people are getting tired of it.

hopefully not near as many people as you believe. I'd hate to think there are that many uptight, hysterical pussies people in this world.

I assume you are basing that on his criminal record and on field antics. You know of what he does off the field? He does a lot of charity things, donates a shitload of money, and even has a couple of programs for underprivelaged yougins back in West Virginia. That's a big fucking assumption, that he's a piece of shit.

:laugh1: and we WILL see that eventually, and probably worse in the future.

Look if impressionable kids were not a big part of the equation I would say let them do whatever the hell they want to do. Grown men doing childish stuff is entertaining but what a lot of people are probably worried about is when their kids emulate this type of behavior
. . . oh wait, some little kids are going to do that regardless so who is emulating whom?

Bottom line = shouldn’t be a big deal

Kids are the masters of mooning people. I wouldn't worry too much about children learning how to moon from watching tv.

So fucking what? He's a goddamn thug. All the charity work in the world doesn't excuse his antics. If he actually cared about anything, he would try to improve his image on the field, which in turn would generate more publicity and possibly further the good things he does. He even said that "at that point, I didn't really care" when he was asked if he thought the Vikings were out of the playoffs when he walked off the field last week. He's a piece of shit in his actions regarding the NFL. Anyone can donate money.

he does a lot more charity work than most players in the NFL, and refuses to get publicity for it. does that excuse him for his on-field behavior and off-field troubles? No. But there are players who are bigger "pieces of shit" than he is.
