In distinct Bill Belichick style, the Patriots coach also defended Moss on Monday when asked about critical comments made by the Panthers.

"My response would be that's a lot of conversation coming from a team that lost another game," Belichick said.

If Moss took a hit like the one Welker took he would go in the fetal position and cry....

That was brutal. How he go up, I don't know. I think he caught 3 more passes on the same drive.

I actually like this. Our defense needs to build up some bravado. You want a corner to be a cocky SOB....

I agree,he was asked and he told the truth. It was obvious to us all that Moss was dogging it. Gamble never said he shut him down he said Moss shut himself down.

It would be bravado if they predicted it before the game or called him out during warmups.

    That's a pretty good line.

Brady and Belichick are not really fooling anyone with their "defense" of Moss and they're probably not trying to. They are just trying to put out the media fire and handle it internally.

Well how do they write off the fact that the guys calling the game also said Moss "didn't seem to have his head in the game", "seemed unaware the ball was going to come his way" and several other remarks saying Moss was not into the game at all? When Brady went over to talk to him at one point (and although it didn't look like chewing out it also did not look like encouragement) they even said he seemed to be shutting Brady out because at that point I commented that Moss must be afraid Brady will start wondering why his son is so tanned.
