Question on draft

Once the Texans agree to terms with Carr then we can approach our choices. Does that mean Carr has to be signed or just agreed on terms. If he is signed, do the Texans then give up the right to trade down?

Wow. You know, I'm not certain. But I do believe it's a certainty that Carr is taken, they wouldn't be this obvious this long and then trade down.

I dunno - How long before the draft did San Diego trade Vick?

Yeah, the Vic deal was right before the draft. It seems like it was only a day or two before.

I guess my question was when they do agree on terms and he signs, if they felt they could still get him at #3 could they trade down or do they forfiet that right by signing him. I just want to know if teams can still negotiate with them for their first pick.
